Day 10: Oct 25

Our hospital has a nursing mothers group where you bring your baby to nurse and check their weight to see how much they are getting per feeding. The process is weigh, nurse, weigh. There are also lactation consultants there to help and give nursing tips. I went almost every week with Sawyer on my maternity leave and I hope to do the same with Blair. Today was our first visit and despite me getting my times mixed up, we made it and rocked the whole thing. She is now 3 ounces above her birth weight at 8lbs and 6oz and everyone was so impressed. I'm no expert but I think that is awesome for a 9 day old, especially one who had lost about 7 ounces from birth in the first few days.
